Group classes at Nexus are our specialty. But, we believe that the most important factor in our classes is YOU. As such, our entire class model is built around helping you achieve success.
Getting started with our group classes involves just four easy steps:
Step 1. No Sweat Intro
Everyone comes in with a different background and different story. We start you exactly where you are, and then progressively and systematically help you reach your goals. We’ll cover everything you need to know to begin your fitness journey with us, and start you on the path to get you there.
What is a No Sweat Intro?
Everybody and every body’s different – so is your story. We believe just throwing you into a class is not demonstrating a commitment to your fitness. Instead, we believe the key to building a welcoming community and to your success is in getting to know each of our members’ goals and preferences. We start everyone off with a free introduction, led by one of our experienced coaches.
We will chat about what you want to achieve and how Nexus can provide you with the tools you want and need to be successful. No prep work or anything needed, show up in regular clothes and chat.

Step 2. Foundations
Our Foundations program is designed to teach you the movements common to our program, address any movement issues you may have, and to ease you into classes. This preparatory course is invaluable in teaching you how to lift safely and effectively, both in and outside the gym.
What is Foundations?
Our Foundations program is for anyone new to Nexus. This is your personalized introduction to group fitness classes at our gym. Your first 30 days include several one-on-one sessions to build your base for group classes.
In these sessions, we will establish your current fitness level, address any movement issues you may have, teach you the exercises common to our program, and ramp up the challenge for regular classes. Includes intro to nutrition handbook and online curriculum covering fitness, recovery, nutrition, habit formation, and more.
Step 3. Group Classes
Our small-group classes perfectly blend the camaraderie of a group with effective one-on-one coaching. Each piece of every class is lead by one of our experienced coaches from warm-up to cool-down. Our coaches will make sure every workout is helping you reach your unique goals.
What’s different about our group classes?
Our group CrossFit classes are much more than your run-of-the-mill fitness class! Our classes are intentionally kept small and focused, to ensure you receive individual attention from your coach and to give you plenty of room to move.
You’ll never get bored with workouts that are different each day, yet still accessible for anyone at any level. The classes are one hour long, and feature full-body functional exercises designed to help you get stronger and leaner.
Whether it’s keeping up with your kids, playing Ultimate Frisbee with your friends, or just being more confident in your own skin, our goal with each class is to help make your life outside the gym even better.
Step 4. Follow-up
Accountability and direction are key for success. At Nexus, we want to make sure you’re on track to reach your goals. Follow-up with one of your coaches every 3 months for an InBody scan, goal review, and new action steps to keep you focused on the right things at the right time.
We’re a coaching business, not just a gym. In a gym, your success is up to you alone. But at Nexus, we’re here to provide guidance and accountability along your journey. This is the true value in what we do.
During your Next 90 Days strategy session, we track your body fat, muscle mass, and weight using our InBody 270 scanner. Then, we’ll talk about your achievements, your goals, and the obstacles you’re facing. From there, we’ll break down your goals and provide you with the next steps to get you where you want to be.
